Staff at the University of Queensland have seen 15,000 men and women for nine years. Some of them were partners and married, while others were single.
The study found that the intake of fat in marital life was much greater and more severe than single life. Charlotte Jackson, a member of the research team, explained:
When people were in contact but were not married, they consumed more vegetables and fruits. Smaller smoked and drunk. Scientists have come to the conclusion that the chance of getting fat in loneliness, divorce or widows is much lower than married and family members.
The authors of this study believe that this relationship is associated with nutrition in the family. In marriage, people often eat together, so they often eat high-calorie foods.
In addition, this figure is increased by joint meetings with the second promise to watch your favorite TV shows or movies. Often, this kind of rest in the family comes with snacks, alcoholic beverages, wine and soft drinks.
Another reason for weight gain after a marriage is children. Parents often eat after their children, kids seem to eat more food if they eat or can not eat, and the remaining children eat more children than normal.
