Zinc or on an essential micronutrient that plays a role in many functions, including strengthening the immune system; this mineral is found abundant in shellfish and red meat, and is also essential for the sense of taste and hearing. Studies have shown that lack of zinc is a major cause of taste and taste disorder.

This study showed that patients with taste disorder may have problems with zinc absorption. While beans, edible cereals, whole grains and dairy compounds all provide some zinc to the body, but the acidity in whole grains, beans, legumes and edible grains can disrupt zinc absorption. As a result, vegetarians may need more than 50% more carnivores. The daily intake of standard zinc for women is 8 mg.
