The risk of hypotension in the elderly

The risk of hypotension in the elderly

Along with high blood pressure, hypotension is also detrimental to human health; as long as one of the causes of death in the elderly is a drop in blood pressure.

American researchers have found that the process of reducing blood pressure lasts about 14 years, but in the elderly who have had weight loss, heart failure, or mental decline, the slump in blood pressure dropped faster.

Still, the cause of the real decline in blood pressure in the elderly is not clear, however, medical care and proper food intake can disrupt the process of hypotension.
